This makes them top contenders for high-value players such as Laura Wolvaardt and Amelia Kerr.
The franchise may also pursue Meg Lanning, especially since they require a new captain. Lanning’s current form strengthens her appeal—she is the leading run-scorer in the ongoing Women’s Big Bash League and recently hammered a sensational 135 for the Melbourne Stars Women.
