Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav was recently seen in Munich, Germany, sparking curiosity after sharing pictures from his trip on social media. It was later revealed that the swashbuckling batter had traveled to Germany for a Sports Hernia surgery, which has now been confirmed as successful.
Surya’s visit comes after a remarkable run in IPL 2025, where he smashed 717 runs—setting the record for the most runs in a single IPL season by a non-opener. His performances played a crucial role in Mumbai Indians’ campaign, and he also broke the franchise record for the most runs scored in a season by an MI batter.
Surya Set for Full Recovery Ahead of Bangladesh Series
With India currently having no T20I commitments, Suryakumar has ample time to recover. India’s next white-ball assignment is a tour of Bangladesh, starting in August. The T20I leg of the series will kick off on August 26 in Chattogram, giving Surya nearly two months to return to peak fitness.
