Jasprit Bumrah has added another historic milestone to his illustrious career, becoming the first Indian bowler to claim 100 or more wickets across all three international formats. The landmark moment came during India’s dominant performance against South Africa in Cuttack, where Bumrah dismissed Dewald Brevis for his 100th T20I wicket.

Brevis attempted a powerful slash at a short delivery on the second ball of the 11th over but mistimed it, slicing the ball toward cover where the catch was safely taken. The delivery was briefly reviewed for a potential no-ball, but replays confirmed that Bumrah’s front foot had landed just inside the crease.

Just moments later, Bumrah struck again, removing Keshav Maharaj with another sharp delivery on the fifth ball of the same over. With this double strike, he became only the second Indian after Arshdeep Singh to take 100 wickets in T20Is—while also becoming the first to reach a three-format century.

By the time Bumrah had completed his fiery over, South Africa were already collapsing at 68/6 in pursuit of India’s challenging 176. The Proteas innings folded for just 72 runs in the following over, handing India a massive 101-run victory driven largely by their exceptional bowling performance.

Players With 100+ Wickets in All Three International Formats

Only a handful of players in cricket history have achieved this rare milestone. With Bumrah’s achievement, the elite list now includes:

  • Lasith Malinga – Tests (101) | ODIs (338) | T20Is (107)
  • Tim Southee – Tests (391) | ODIs (221) | T20Is (164)
  • Shakib Al Hasan – Tests (246) | ODIs (317) | T20Is (149)
  • Shaheen Afridi – Tests (121) | ODIs (135) | T20Is (126)
  • Jasprit Bumrah – Tests (234) | ODIs (149) | T20Is (100*)

Bumrah’s entry into this exclusive club underscores his consistency, skill, and impact across formats—cementing his legacy as one of modern cricket’s greatest fast bowlers.
