In a major development for Indian cricket, Apollo Tyres has been announced as the new jersey sponsor for Team India, replacing Dream11. The sponsorship deal, confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is valued at ₹579 crore (approximately USD $65.7 million) and will last for two and a half years—until March 2028.

Apollo Tyres Steps Up with ₹579 Crore Deal

The deal marks a significant financial upgrade for the BCCI, especially in the wake of Dream11’s exit. The fantasy gaming company had to step back due to the impact of the Online Gaming Bill, which disrupted its business operations and funding commitments.

Apollo Tyres will now pay approximately ₹4.77 crore per game, covering 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC fixtures during the contract period. This is a noticeable increase from Dream11’s offer, which hovered around ₹3.5 crore per bilateral match and ₹1.5 crore for ICC events like the World Cup.

The Apollo Tyres logo will make its debut on the Indian jersey during the upcoming two-Test home series against the West Indies, followed by the white-ball tour to Australia. The branding will also appear on the India A team’s jersey, currently participating in a multi-format series against Australia A.

A Strategic Partnership Aligned with Brand Values

According to the BCCI’s official statement, the partnership with Apollo Tyres is seen as a strategic alignment of values between two high-performance entities.

“For Apollo Tyres, the sponsorship is a powerful platform to connect with a diverse and passionate audience. The company, known for its commitment to performance and safety, sees a natural synergy between its brand values and the attributes of a world-class cricket team,” said the BCCI.

Apollo Tyres markets its products under two global brands—Apollo and Vredestein—and has a presence in over 100 countries through a widespread network of exclusive and multi-product outlets.

This deal also brings relief and renewed commercial momentum to Indian cricket, as both the men’s and women’s teams had been playing without a main jersey sponsor during recent matches, including the Asia Cup and the women’s series against Australia.

With this new association, Apollo Tyres gains massive brand visibility and national reach, while Team India continues to attract top-tier sponsorship despite the volatile regulatory landscape affecting other industries.
